With public input, City and community leaders have identified projects and programs intended to keep our city thriving over the next decade. The proposed plan is called A Stronger Vancouver.
Make our operations and fire station buildings earthquake safe
Increase safety in our parks by upgrading outdated playgrounds and increasing accessibility
Create safer roads for everyone – pedestrians, cyclists and drivers
Invest in areas of the city that have been underfunded in the past
Develop attractive public spaces for residents
Enhance neighborhoods by improving parks with new picnic tables, benches, paths and signage
Attract businesses by improving and building new public infrastructure
Make our downtown and other commercial areas vibrant and attractive to employers and employees
Create the opportunity for thousands of new high-quality jobs in improved business areas
